Our goal is an injury-free workforce. To help us meet this guiding principle, California Erectors is committed to extensive training of employees and supervision.
Our superintendents facilitate weekly safety tailgates specific to steel construction. They also do a specific jobsite safety survey identifying and eliminating unique issues to the particular jobsite. This information is shared with the workforce.
We also take the added step of using an outside consultant to further improve our efforts. The consultant has the full support of ownership and has made us think “outside the box” which has resulted in behavioral changes.
California Erectors has adopted and implemented a Drug-Free Workplace Program with a drug-testing component. This was done with full cooperation of local unions.
